Join IBF at our Wed, Oct 23rd Dinner: Salute SARG and Support Austin/Moyer Advocacy Program

IBF’s Annual Dinner at the Irish Eyes Restaurant in Lewes, Oct 23rd, 6pm, celebrates the importance of the Bays and those who work to restore them to swimmable and fishable condition.

This year IBF salutes SARG – Sussex Alliance for Responsible Growth with its 2019 Environmental Advocacy Award.  SARG will receive the award for its leadership in providing citizen input in the extensive 2018 Sussex County Comprehensive Plan process and for its continued work to see the Plan’s objectives and strategies incorporated in the County’s decision making.

The dinner also showcases The Citizen’s Guide to Environmental Advocacy, the first project funded by the Austin/Moyer Citizens Advocacy Program, which was established as a memorial to IBF founding members John Austin and Bill Moyer to continue their legacy of fighting for better water quality in the Bays.  The Guide is being developed by the Delaware Law School Environmental Law Clinic and its director, Professor Ken Kristl.

Please join us for a festive evening focused on the waterways that help support 60,000 annual fishing licenses, 250,000 yearly fishing trips and are an integral part of our $7 billion coastal economy.
