IBF Hosting Rich Borrasso SARG2018

Inland Bays Foundation hosting Rich Borrasso April 11

One of the founders of Sussex Alliance for Responsible Growth

April 10, 2017

The Inland Bays Foundation will present Rich Borrasso at its next meeting held at the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach, Tuesday, April 11, at 5 p.m.

Wondering about the status of the 2018 Sussex County Comprehensive Plan from the community’s point of view? If so, come meet one of the founders of the newly formed Sussex Alliance for Responsible Growth or sarg2018, a grassroots organization that provides a platform for public input on the 11 Elements of the Sussex Plan.

According to Borrasso, the alliance is nonpartisan and not in opposition to growth or the views of county officials. Rather, as Borrasso states, “We want the best plan possible, and a plan that promotes responsible growth.”

Listen to Borrasso explain the role of sarg2018 in building a network of interested citizens and organizations to become more engaged in influencing and monitoring the development and implementation of the 2018 Sussex County Comprehensive Plan.
Borrasso lives in Milton with his wife Sandy. He brings a wealth of experience to the alliance.

During his 42 years in the consumer goods industry, Borrasso has held positions in several Fortune 500 companies, including Oscar Mayer, Frito-Lay, M&M Mars and most recently, Kellogg’s. He hopes to utilize his skills to educate and inform the citizens of Sussex County concerning the development of the Sussex Comprehensive Plan, thus providing individuals with the means and motivation to provide critical input and oversight.

The Inland Bays Foundation is a nonprofit 501c3 organization. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach. Go to www.inlandbaysfoundation.org for details.
