IBF Feb. 2017 Meeting SEN. BRYAN TOWNSEND

Inland Bays Foundation Hosts SEN. BRYAN TOWNSEND

State Senator Bryan Townsend will discuss plans for the 2017 Clean Water Task Force with the Inland Bays Foundation at their monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 6pm in the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach, DE.  Sen. Townsend will speak on a range of current topics, including plans for the 2017 Clean Water Task Force, started last year.

Senator Townsend addressed the issue of clean water at an IBF meeting in March of last year. According to Nancy Cabrera-Santos, President of the Foundation: “No one at the state level fights harder for clean water than Senator Townsend.”

Preliminary data from last year’s draft report was of great interest to the audience gathered at the Bethany Town Hall. Senator Townsend was adamant in his conclusion that it is past time for alleviation of the pollution in Delaware’s waterways, including the need for a state-wide Clean Water Fee.  In March 2017, a new report will be generated from the Task Force, outlining progress to date.
