Sussex Conservation District Addresses the “Cover Crop” Issue

“The Inland Bays Foundation is committed to having clean waters in our Bays and Tributaries. Seventy percent of nutrient pollution comes from non point sources. We have been told by studies that failed septics and lack of total cover crops for our fields are two of the biggest sources. In our efforts to understand the impact of pollution from non point sources we are working closely with DNREC and other state agencies with monthly Forums with Subject matter experts.
