IBF Hosts Sierra Club at Their Monthly Meeting

Stephanie Herron, Outreach Coordinator for the DE chapter of the Sierra Club based in Wilmington, will give a presentation to the Inland Bays Foundation at their monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 12 at 6pm in the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach, DE.  Stephanie will speak about several initiatives of the DE Sierra Club this year, including the efforts to stop plastic bag pollution and their campaign to strengthen the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). RGGI is the regional emissions trading program between Delaware and the other states in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic regions.

Stephanie has a degree from James Madison University and her experience with the Sierra Club centers around the Chesapeake Climate Action network, helping citizens with their air monitoring projects. In addition, Stephanie has worked to stop a proposed coal power plant. At the Sierra Club, Stephanie supports the conservation program, membership, and volunteer events.
